To initiate interaction in reference to polaroid photography and to elaborate on those interactions within the internet environment. I will be utilizing Polaroid photography with an Instax camera to capture the interesting moments of my first journey abroad and the people I meet( I am forcing myself to meet one person every day). In my past research I have found this format of photography to be the easiest way of capturing people in portraits as they seem to be much more receptive to the concept of a polaroid rather than a traditional DSLR camera. The photos will be uploaded onto my blog that will be hosted off of my personal website via cafe or wireless connection nightly at hostels. The overall goal is to spread goodwill throughout my journey and create memories with people on the other side of the globe while simultaneously generating social commentary about the power of photography and the ephemeral quality of polaroid film.
